KNM's BORSIG membrane technology is particularly interesting for olefin and polymer producers. Un-reacted monomer or other components of a high value can be selectively separated from the carrier gas, concentrated and fed back into the production process. This enables very short payoff periods.

One typical application, for example, is the separation of olefin monomer from the purge gas during the polymer product degassing phase. For re-use in the process high monomer recovery and nitrogen recovery rates are realized. This technology can be installed for new installations as well as simple retrofitting/capacity expansion of existing plants.
